Mrs. Teresa Lusk

Position: Speaker and Author
Organization: Self and Homemaker CEO

Biography

Teresa explains that before the age of 12 she endured numerous sexual molestation incidents. At fourteen, Teresa gave birth to her first child and didn’t complete the eighth grade. She continued a downward spiral, an inadequate single parent making poor decisions, drinking heavily, and using drugs for several years. In desperation, she sought a spiritual foundation by plunging into New Age beliefs only to remain empty at heart. After some time, Teresa and Leon met and married in 2001. Together they discovered a Christian church in their hometown, were both saved, and transformed, from “Pagan 101” to “Trophies of Grace”. They enjoy spending time with their children, Christian (17), Sarah (6), and Aslan (3), who are thriving. Teresa believes that everyone has the opportunity for a better life through persistence on one’s part, a support system and most importantly, God. She enjoys sharing her testimony of struggles to success only to give God the credit for the life changing transformation. In addition, Teresa has recently completed a Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Psychology, Religion, and Christian Counseling. “If I can achieve all of this with only an 8th grade education and a messy past, then success is possible for anyone because we can do all thing through Christ,” says Teresa. Recent accomplishments for Teresa includes her new book titled, Good Enough to be a Homemaker and CEO, (Xulon Press, 2009) and the launch of Homemaker CEO, a non-profit organization which provides spiritual, personal, and professional development opportunities.

Speech Description

You are Good Enough: Teresa G. Lusk delivers a compelling real-life story of her struggles with childhood sexual abuse, teen parenting, having only an 8th grade education, drug abuse, and devotion to New-Age religion. The great news? God thought Teresa was good enough to take her messy life and turned her into a God-loving college graduate, founder of a women’s non-profit organization, and a published author. Are you good enough for a life change too?
