Lindsay Wells
Position: Teen Court Coordinator

Biography
Lindsay Wells is the Teen Court Coordinator for the City of Arlington, overseeing a program designed as an alternative sentence for teenagers who've received a Class C misdemeanor citation in Arlington. In addition to helping those teens, Lindsay recruits teens to volunteer as Teen Court attorneys.
Prior to taking over the Teen Court program, Lindsay has worked for the Arlington Municipal Court in various capacities and holds a Level II Court Clerk Certification. In May 2009, Lindsay will earn a Bachelor of Science in Economics with plans to pursue a Masters in Public Administration.

Juvenile offenders have the greatest opportunity to truly learn from the mistakes they've made before they reach adulthood and not become habitual offenders. Teen Court allows a teen to learn how the judicial system works and learn the consequences of their actions. The presentation will expand on these ideas and discuss success rates and history.
